Diagnostics & Sensor Recalibration
Full fault-code scanning for electrical and drivetrain problems. After any windscreen, bumper or mirror work we recalibrate the cameras and parking sensors, so the driver-assist systems read the road correctly again.
What every diagnostics & recalibration job covers.
The scope you can expect when the car is booked in for this specific work.

Full-vehicle fault-code scan and report
Electrical and drivetrain fault diagnosis
Forward-facing camera recalibration after windscreen work
Radar and parking-sensor recalibration after bumper work
Blind-spot and mirror-camera recalibration after mirror replacement
Post-repair scan to confirm no codes remain
How we actually do it.
A warning light is a symptom, not a diagnosis. We connect the scan tool and read every module, not just the one throwing the code, because a fault often traces back to something upstream of it — a loose connector, a knocked sensor bracket, a battery that dropped voltage mid-drive.
Recalibration itself follows the manufacturer’s exact procedure — target boards positioned at measured distances and heights, or a road-based calibration drive where that’s what the system calls for — because a camera that’s a few degrees out won’t throw an error. It’ll just quietly misjudge the road.
The steps, in order.
What actually happens between dropping the car off and picking it back up.
Scan
The vehicle is connected to the scan tool and every module is read for stored and live faults.
Diagnose
Codes are interpreted against the symptoms so the underlying cause is found, not just the warning light.
Recalibrate
Cameras, radar and sensors are re-aimed and re-taught against the manufacturer targets and procedure.
Verify
A final scan and, where required, a short road test confirm the systems are reading correctly again.
Bring the car in if any of this sounds familiar.
A warning light on the dash you want a real answer on
After a windscreen replacement on a car with a forward-facing camera
After bumper or grille work on a car with front radar or parking sensors
After mirror or camera-housing replacement on a car with blind-spot alert
If lane-keeping, adaptive cruise or auto-braking has started behaving oddly
What people usually ask before booking.
My warning light is intermittent — can you still diagnose it?
Yes. The scan reads stored fault codes as well as live data, so an intermittent fault usually still leaves a trail even once the light’s gone out.
Do I need calibration after a windscreen replacement?
If the car has a forward-facing camera mounted near the mirror, yes — it has to be re-aimed to the manufacturer’s procedure or it won’t read the road correctly.
How do you know the calibration worked?
A final scan confirms no fault codes remain, and where the system calls for it we do a short road test to confirm it’s tracking properly.
